About
We are the Junior League of Douglas County!
The Junior League of Douglas County is a diverse, driven group of women committed to developing civic leadership and creating lasting community impact. We provide training, resources, and meaningful opportunities for women to lead, serve, and grow — both personally and professionally. Together, we are shaping a stronger Douglas County through purposeful action and collective leadership.
Strength in Numbers
The Junior League of Douglas County is part of a global network of women, with hundreds of Junior League chapters making an impact in communities around the world. As a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI), we share in a proud legacy of civic leadership and service.
Founded in 1990, our League is focused right here—on Douglas County. Our mission is to grow our membership, expand our reach, and continue to drive meaningful change in the place we call home.
We welcome women from all walks of life—diverse backgrounds, professions, and experiences—who are ready to step into leadership and take action in their community.
While you’re here, we invite you to learn more about how you can join us, support our work, or get involved. Together, we’re building a stronger Douglas County—one project, one partnership, and one leader at a time.
Our Community Impact
At the Junior League of Douglas County, we are committed to meeting the evolving needs of our community. Our members roll up their sleeves and take action where it matters most—right here at home.
From hosting free laundry days for families in need, to cleaning up busy streets across Douglas County, to our period pop-ups that distribute essential feminine hygiene products to women—we are driven by a shared mission to make a meaningful difference.
We also proudly support education through our literacy initiative, where we provide books and promote reading among young scholars in our community.
Our projects may be diverse, but our purpose is singular: to fill the gaps and meet the needs of Douglas County with compassion, care, and commitment.
If you’re interested in learning more about our current focus or developing your own civic leadership skills, we welcome you to learn more or connect with us.
